Walker was born in 1976. She was born within Philadelphia Pennsylvania United States of America. She has African-American ancestry and has an American passport. She has parents named Harvey Welker who is Native American and Julie Welker who is African-American. Her mother works as a real estate agent and her father is an engineer. Walker completed her studies at Germantown Friends School situated in Philadelphia's Germantown district in 1994. After that, she went to Harvard College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Welker married John Hughes in Philadelphia, who was known as a marketing director. They have two daughters. The couple began a relationship in 2014 with each other. John was her husband, and is four years older than her. They decided to take their relationship to the next stage because things were getting so good. They got married on the 4th day of March 2017. Philadelphia Pennsylvania hosted their wedding.
